Snowman (The)

An original animation cel used in the production of The Snowman, the 1982 television film based on Raymond Briggs' book of the same name.

This original hand painted 12 field animation cel features The Snowman and James with the paint applied to the verso, this particular frame was utilised during the dance sequence and the cel is hand inscribed '15A' to the bottom right corner with peg holes along the bottom edge, accompanied by a blank sheet of tracing paper original to the production.

The cel measures approximately 12.5" x 10.5" and remains in excellent production used condition, very fine.

A rare and displayable artefact from this highly regarded production which was nominated for the Academy Award for Best Short Film.
