Superman II

An original mould used in the production of Superman II, the 1980 superhero sequel starring Christopher Reeve in the title role.

This mould was created by a member of by the talented visual effects team headed up by Derek Meddings and serves as the head mould for use on the large scale flying miniature used to portray Zod (Terence Stamp). The two part silicone head mould is contained within a custom made case of plasticard which is hand inscribed 'TERRENCE (sic) STAMP, ZOD, SUPERMAN'.

The mould measures approximately 3" x 3" x 3" and remains in good production used condition with a split to one of the silicone parts, otherwise fine.

An interesting production artefact from this Academy Award winning picture which remains an influential favourite of the superhero genre.
