Full Metal Jacket

An original prop used in the production of Full Metal Jacket, the 1987 war picture directed by Stanley Kubrick.

Prop grenades such as this can be seen worn and used by the various marines including the principal cast members. Constructed from mixed materials the casing is moulded in resin while the top section including the safety pin and lever appear to be genuine vintage metal parts, a distinctive hand painted yellow stripe details the casing.

The grenade stands 4" high and remains in very good production used condition exhibiting expected paint wear.

A highly displayable artefact from this well regarded war picture.
