Thomas and Friends

An original prop used in the production of the long running children's television show Thomas the Tank Engine which later became Thomas & Friends.

From the series ten episode Thomas and the Treasure this is the original treasure chest which Thomas seeks throughout. Entirely custom fabricated from wood the chest contains a number of faux gold jewels and trinkets and is expertly detailed and painted due to its use in close up shots. This unique prop can be screen matched to the climactic scene where the treasure is located and represents the central plot device from the episode.

The chest measures an impressive 5.5" wide and remains in excellent screen used condition lacking the handle to the left side and with some loosening to one hinge otherwise very fine.
