Doctor Who

An original Time Lord skull cap used in the production of the long running BBC television series Doctor Who.

The Time Lord costumes were designed by Academy Award winning costume designer Jim Acheson for the 1976 serial The Deadly Assassin at which time a number of these skull caps were produced by the BBC costume department. The caps were reused in subsequent serials up to The Trial of a Time Lord often repainted and with details added.

The skull cap would appear to be constructed from a stiffened material and has a hard finish, it features decorative knotted braid detailing which was added for its final use in The Trial of a Time Lord.

The cap in excellent screen used condition throughout.
