River (The)

An original prop used in the production of The River, the 1984 drama picture starring Mel Gibson and Sissy Spacek.

This is the original plate seen prominently on the front of the Jeep driven by Joe Wade (Scott Glen) throughout the production, constructed of moulded plastic painted to appear metal the plate features the Confederate flag on an applied metallic sticker with two holes used to attach it to the vehicle.

The plate measures approximately 12.5" x 6.25" and remains in good production used condition with some age related shrinkage to the applied sticker and general surface wear.

A rare and highly displayable artefact from this Academy Award winning production.
