Highlander

Original armour used in the production of Highlander, the 1986 fantasy picture starring Christopher Lambert, Sean Connery and Clancy Brown.

This jacket was designed by Academy Award winning costume designer James Acheson and worn on screen by Clancy Brown as The Kurgan. The La Rocka branded jacket is constructed from brown leather and has been heavily modified by the production being adorned with a quantity of metal skulls to the collar with snakeskin detailing, chain mail and skulls to the rear. The piece has been intentionally production distressed with tears and damage for use in the climactic rooftop battle sequence to which it can be conclusively screen matched by the unique placement of the detailing. To the interior the jacket features a plaster label which is hand inscribed 'A' in marker pen, likely indicating that this was the principal jacket for filming.

The jacket remains in excellent screen used and distressed condition with a repaired section to the front and lacking parts of the additional detailing such as some of the metal skulls and chain mail. This does not distract from this exceptionally rare example of principal character wardrobe from this highly regarded cult picture.
