This storyboard sequence comprises of 51 pages of production used storyboards for the sequence where Stachel (George Peppard) is seen taking to the skies in his Pfalz. The storyboards are bound with a front cover of yellow card which is ink stamped with an information box hand inscribed 'THE BLUE MAX' and dated 'REVISED 20th JULY 65' in red pen, to the top the name Christian is inscribed in green for producer Christian Ferry who utilised these storyboards during filming, other annotations to the cover present but largely illegible. Each storyboard page contains an illustration of the scene with a descriptions of the action taking place below, these type written and tipped in place, some of the boards are oversized and folded, majority crossed in pen with some featuring minor hand inscribed annotations.

The sequence measures approximately 13" x 7" and remains in good production used condition with some wear and light soiling to the cover, the storyboards in vintage fine condition exhibiting toning and minor edge wear.

An extraordinarily fine example of original production material from this highly regarded war picture.
