The African Queen was shot in Technicolour by noted cinematographer Jack Cardiff with the majority of the picture filmed on location however numerous sequences were shot in studio with background and foreground plates added later. These three photographs originate from and relate to the numerous process shots handled by the Technicolour laboratory in West Drayton, London which was located in close proximity to the major British studios.

The vintage original black and white photographs measure approximately 4.5" x 3.5" and depict three different shots from the picture all of which include Bogart as Charlie Allnut aboard The African Queen, they remain in excellent vintage condition, paper backed and removed from scrapbook exhibiting only minor toning, otherwise very fine.

An extraordinarily rare example of original production material from this highly regarded classic which saw Humphrey Bogart receive the Academy Award for Best Actor.
