Shawshank Redemption (The)

An original prop used in the production of The Shawshank Redemption, the 1994 prison drama starring Tim Robbins and Morgan Freeman under the direction of Frank Darabont.

Food trays such as this can be seen used by the inmates of Shawshank in numerous scenes throughout the movie including by all the principal cast members. Constructed from metal the tray features six compartments and a sticker with the working title of the picture 'RITA HAYWORTH & THE SHAWSHANK REDEMPTION' and the filming location and date of production which was added before some of these trays were gifted to crew members following the production.

The tray measures approximately 16" x 12" and remains in good production used condition with expected surface wear.

A rare and displayable artefact from this Academy Award nominated and critically acclaimed masterpiece which is frequently regarded among the best pictures of all time.
