Doctor Who

An original prop used in the production of the long running BBC science fiction television series Doctor Who.

From the 1988 serial The Greatest Show in the Galaxy starring Sylvester McCoy as The Doctor this hand can be seen worn by the robot clown which grabs Ace (Sophie Aldred) in the trailer. Constructed from a marigold glove with applied mesh, foam and wire detailing the hand remains largely intact however the marigold glove around which the piece is based has largely deteriorated with age, it measures approximately 8" long.
