Description

An original prop used in the production of Only Fools and Horses, the classic BBC television sitcom created by John Sullivan.

From the 1992 christmas special Mother Nature's Son this is an original bottle of Peckham Spring water as sold by Del (David Jason) and Rodney (Nicholas Lyndhurst) in their latest money making scheme. After cleaning up the allotment following an invite from the council in the form of a summons and dumping the hazardous waste in a pond Del cons Myles (Robert Glenister) in to giving them a certificate of purity for the mysterious water source they find which Del calls the Peckham Spring. After setting up production in thier flat filling bottles from the tap it quickly becomes a best selling product and drought warnings are issued due to the high volume of water they are using, in the final scene a bottle of Peckham spring glows yellow indicating that the water is contaminated by the waste they dumped earlier.

This bottle is one of a number created by the production and seen clearly on screen throughout the episode. The one litre glass bottle features a custom made label featuring the Peckham Spring logo and stating it is "from an ancient and natural source" (The Thames), with nutritional information and a description of the product to the back.

The bottle stands just over 12" high and remains in very good vintage screen used condition with some minor fading to the label, generally fine.

A extremely rare and highly displayable artefact from this classic series which is widely regarded as the best sitcom in British television history.
