Corpse Bride

An original prop used in the production of Corpse Bride, the 2005 stop motion animation fantasy picture directed by Tim Burton.

This fan can be seen used by Nell Van Dort, the mother of Victor voiced by Tracey Ullman. This intricately designed folding fan was created by master puppet makers Mackinnon & Saunders and is expertly fabricated from 12 pieces of laser cut sheet metal which are hinged by a pin to the bottom with a decorative tassel, a small piece of wire connects the sections preventing them from separating and also to aid the animation process allowing the fan to be posed in various positions.

The puppet scale fan measures approximately 4.5" x 3" when open and remains in excellent screen used condition exhibiting only minor oxidisation in areas, overall very fine.

An extremely rare artefact from this stop motion animation favourite.
