Star Cops

Nathan Spring (David Calder) jacket

Sold

Description

An original jacket from the production of the 1987 BBC television series Star Cops penned by prolific science fiction writer Chris Boucher.

This jacket was custom made for David Calder in the lead role of Nathan Spring, the commander of the International Space Police Force or the 'Star Cops', these blue jackets are clearly seen worn by the crew throughout the series and were made by the BBC costume department. This blue jacket features zip of arms and pocket details and SPRING name patch to the chest with an ISPF emblem and insignia along with moonbase patch to the right arm. The union jack patch once present on the top of the left arm has long since been removed with cotton remains still present.

The costume is labelled Nathan Spring to the collar with what appears to be an old auction label below dated 1990. The jacket remains in excellent condition throughout - very fine.

A rare example of a principal character costume from this cult BBC television series.
