An original miniature used in the production of the long running children's television show Thomas the Tank Engine which later became Thomas & Friends.

This large scale scarecrow miniature can be seen used in close up shots in two episodes of the series and was also filmed for a deleted scene from Calling All Engines. He first appears in the sixth series episode Gordon Takes a Tumble at the Old Branch Line farm where Gordon derails, the prop makes a second appearance in the series ten episode Topped of Thomas where he appears as Farmer McColl's scarecrow on which the Fat Controller's hat lands after blowing away.

Constructed from resin the impressive miniature is finely detailed and hand painted with doweled arms and legs and a separate head and hat of vacuum formed plastic, the miniature screen matches perfectly to the aforementioned appearances and is the only one made in this scale. The prop is accompanied by its original production bag which features a label hand inscribed '7 SCARECROW' and is marked as number 7 to the underside of the left foot.

The miniature stands an impressive 12.5" high and remains in excellent screen used condition, very fine.

A unique and highly displayable example of a large scale miniature from this popular children's television series.
