Doctor Who

An original costume used in the production of the long running BBC science fiction television series Doctor Who.

From the 1985 serial Timelash starring Colin Baker as the Doctor this is an original costume as worn by the inhabitants of the planet Karfel. Custom made for the production by the BBC Wardrobe Department the costume is constructed from a rough heavy cotton and features a wrap design to the upper body with pleats to the legs, this intentionally weathered with paint to a high standard, accompanied by an original belt which lacks the motif seen on the ones worn by the principal performers.

The costume remains in excellent production used condition throughout, overall fine.
