Doctor Who

An original prop used in the production of the long running BBC science fiction television series Doctor Who.

From the 1982 serial Time-Flight starring Peter Davison as The Doctor this mask was worn on screen by Anthony Ainley as Kalid who is later revealed to be The Master in disguise. The mask was custom made for the production by make-up effects designer Dorka Nieradzik who look a lifecast of Ainley on which she designed a series of prosthetic latex appliances to form the disguise, these sit on top of a thin plastic base which formed to the actors face which was mounted on a production used foam lifecast of Ainley by Nieradzik following filming this complete with original screen used moustache and beard.

The head display measures approximatly10" and remains in stable screen used condition with some shrinking and loss to the latex appliances.
