Clash of the Titans

An original shield used in the production of the 1981 fantasy classic Clash of the Titans starring Harry Hamlin as Perseus and co-produced by stop motion visual effects legend Ray Harryhausen.

Shields such as this can be seen used in various scenes of the film by the Joppa guards notably in the ceremonial sequences. Constructed from fibreglass the shield features a painted design to the front and two riveted leather holding straps to the rear, the shield measures an impressive 24" in diameter and remains in excellent screen used condition with only very minor scratches and paint chips.

A rare and displayable artefact from this classic picture which will surely forever remain a genre favourite.
