Conan the Barbarian

An original costume design used in the production of Conan the Barbarian, the 1982 fantasy picture starring Arnold Schwarzenegger under the direction of John Milius.

This costume design for the helmets worn by the guards at the temple of Thulsa Doom (James Earl Jones) was created by noted costume designer John Bloomfield as he visioned the various wardrobe for the movie. Accomplished in pencil on paper the design features two highly detailed drawings and is titled 'ELITE GUARDS' to the top right corner.

The artwork measures approximately 13.5" x 9" and remains in near perfect vintage condition having been carefully stored since production, very fine.
