
In 1952 Ian Fleming created the first in a series of novels about a spy named James Bond which soon attracted a large following and interest from Hollywood. Finally in 1962 Fleming's creation came to life on the big screen with the release of Dr. No marking the beginning of one of the most successful film franchises in history propelling Sean Connery to international superstardom as the suave British spy James Bond. The now iconic character has since been portrayed by a further five actors in a franchise comprising of twenty-four EON produced pictures and the series has become widely known for its exciting mix of exotic locations, flash cars, beautiful women, inventive gadgets and daring stunts coupled with incredible production design and special effects sequences which have thrilled moviegoers for over fifty years.
The Prop Gallery are proud to present a selection of original artefacts from the James Bond film franchise, many of which have never before been offered on the collectors market. These artefacts will be made available on The Prop Gallery website as part of James Bond Week where new listings will be added to the website for five consecutive days between Monday April 11 and Friday April 15 at 16:00 GMT, every era of the franchise will be represented with various material ranging from filming miniatures to original props, screen worn wardrobe and production ephemera offered to collectors.
