An original helmet used in the production of Flash Gordon, the 1980 science fiction picture directed by Mike Hodges.

This is one of the original helmets worn by the Hawkmen in various scenes on the movie. Constructed from fibreglass the helmet features cuts outs for the eyes and nose with holes drilled to the mouth area and is complete with its distinctive wings and scope to the top of the helmet. The headgear is finished in black paint with gold highlights and features a label to the interior which is hand inscribed 'ALAN HARRIS' in pen. The helmet retains its original paint finish and being fully compete with its scope surely represents one of the finest examples which survive today.

The helmet measures approximately 7" wide and stands an impressive 12.5" high, overall it remains in excellent screen used condition with some paint cracking and flaking due to age with some minor chips and edge wear to the delicate fibreglass, overall very fine.

An instantly recognisable and highly displayable artefact from this cult science fiction classic.
