Green Hornet (The)

An original prop used in the production of The Green Hornet, the 1966 action television series starring Van Williams and Bruce Lee.

This sting weapon was used on screen by Van Williams as title character Green Hornet throughout the series as he fought crime and can also be seen in the 1967 Batman television series episode A Piece of the Action as the Green Hornet and Kato (Bruce Lee) visit Gotham City. Different versions of this signature prop were constructed for filming with this example being a static version for use where the extending feature was not required, fabricated from metal the weapon features a fixed grip with a brass band to the end decorated with rows of faux emeralds.

The weapon measures approximately 10" long and remains in generally excellent condition with some minor scuffs to the paintwork, lacking the end cap and several of the gemstones, otherwise very fine.

An extremely rare and desirable artefact from this cult television series.
