Gladiator

An original weapon used in the production of Gladiator, the 2000 historical epic starring Russell Crowe under the direction of Ridley Scott.

This is an original gladius used by the Roman infantry in the movie, this stunt weapon is constructed from hard rubber with a decorative handle which is painted to imitate wood, the hard rubber blade featuring an internal metal armature to add strength to the prop.

The gladius measures approximately 28.5" long and remains in  excellent production used condition with only minimal wear from blade striking, a terrific example, very fine.

A displayable artefact from this multi Academy Award winning masterpiece and modern day classic.
