An original script used in the production of Genevieve, the 1953 British comedy picture written by William Rose and directed by Henry Cornelius.

This original production used script is dated 22nd July 1952 and comprises of 103 pages bound between front and rear covers of red card with the front featuring an applied label type written 'GENEVIEVE' and hand inscribed with details to the top left corner. This first draft script features some differences from the final movie most notably that Alan McKim (John Gregson) drives a 1903 De Dion Bouton and Ambrose Claverhouse (Kenneth More) a 1904 Oldsmobile Runabout, there are several annotations throughout the script hand inscribed in pencil and the interior title page is signed by Key Kendall who portrayed Rosalind Peters in blue pen.

The script remains in good vintage production used condition exhibiting edge wear and toning throughout with the cover heavily worn and partially detached, interior very fine.

An extraordinarily rare example of original production material from this classic British picture which saw William Rose nominated for the Academy Award for Best Original Screenplay.
