Description

An original miniature from the production of Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom, the second instalment in the popular Indy franchise.

This is an original propeller created by the production for the Ford Tri-Motor miniature used in the memorable sequence where Indy (Harrison Ford), Willie (Kate Capshaw) and Short Round (Jonathan Ke Quan) find themselves stranded aboard the craft thanks to Lao Che (Roy Chiao).

This sequence was accomplished using a combination of live action footage and a miniature built by Michael Fulmer and Ira Keeler at Industrial Light & Magic (ILM), this was filmed in motion control by Dream Quest Images and also on the roof of the ILM main stage. The highly detailed propeller is constructed from metal and is mounted on a stand, it was gifted as such by Fulmer to a crew member, a battery compartment to the rear powers the propeller enabling it to spin.

A highly displayable miniature artefact from one of the most highly regarded and iconic franchises in cinematic history.
