Doctor Who

An original costume used in the production of the long running BBC television series Doctor Who.

From the 1982 serial Time-Flight starring Peter Davison as The Doctor this is an original Plasmaton creature as summoned by The Master (Anthony Ainley). The two piece costume was created for the serial by freelancer Richard Gregory of Imagineering, constructed from orange high density foam with material lining to the interior the costume features a small hole allowing the performer inside to see and is hand inscribed 'NO 1' to the interior. The wooden stand on which the costume is mounted was created when it was displayed at various BBC exhibitions.

The costume stands approximately 68" high and remains in good screen used condition with some minor paint loss and hardening with one of the ball bearing details absent to the head. The wooden stand on which the costume is mounted was created when it was displayed at various BBC exhibitions.
