Production used clapperboard
An original clapperboard used in the production of Chaplin, the 1992 biographical feature starring Robert Downey Jr under the direction of Richard Attenborough which details the life of screen icon Charlie Chaplin.
This production used traditional style black wooden clapperboard with hinged clap stick bears the working movie title 'CHARLIE' in addition to the names of director Richard Attenborough and director of photographer Sven Nykvist as cameraman. The main unit J.D.C branded clapperboard features spaces where the slate and take number could be recorded and retains these marking from the production, an applied tape to the bottom retains the date from its last use during filming.
The clapperboard measures approximately 15" x 12" and remains in excellent production used condition, overall fine.
A very nice example of the iconic clapperboard from this Academy Award nominated biopic.
