An original emblem used in the production of Tim Burton's 1989 superhero blockbuster Batman starring Michael Keaton as the caped crusader opposite Jack Nicholson in his unforgettable portrayal of The Joker.

This is an original chest emblem created by the production for use as the focal part of the suit worn by Michael Keaton as Batman. Various types of emblem were created during the production with this one being constructed from very hard rubber, the iconic symbol is finished in black and yellow with intentional paint distressing for use in the scenes after Batman crashes the Batwing towards the end of the movie. To the verso the emblem exhibits residue from the Black Tak used to affix it to the suits and is hand inscribed with the number '09' in red marker pen.

The emblem measures approximately 5.75" x 4.25" and remains in excellent production used condition with some minor age related wear to the paint finish.

An instantly recognisable and highly displayable artefact from this Academy award winning superhero classic.
