Flash Gordon

An original prop from the production of Flash Gordon, the 1980 science fiction picture directed by Mike Hodges.

Drinking cups such as these were custom made by the production for use by the treemen of Arboria led by Prince Barin (Timothy Dalton). Constructed from lightweight fibreglass and sculpted to give an appearance as if sculpted from wood the prop features a small handle to one side with a weathered paint finish. One of these cups can also be seen used as set dressing in Jabba's Palace in Star Wars Episode VI - Return of the Jedi (1983).

The prop measures approximately 4" in diameter and 7" including the handle, it remains in excellent vintage condition exhibiting some wear to the finish, otherwise fine.

An affordable and displayable artefact from this cult science fiction classic.
