Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles II: The Secret of the Ooze

An original mask used in the production of Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles II: The Secret of the Ooze, the 1991 superhero comedy sequel directed by Michael Pressman.

Masks such as this can be seen worn by the various Foot Soldiers throughout the movie. Constructed from a thin spandex like material the mask features painted eye mesh detail with a number of metal rings to the nose area to aid breathing and several velcro strips to the neck which would fasten to the tunics. The mask is complete with its original red hachimaki, or headband, which is stitched in three places and features an embroidered symbol to the front. The interior neck area of the mask is hand inscribed 'PESINA' in black marker for martial arts expert and actor Daniel Pesina who wore it during the production.

The mask remains in very good production used condition with some minor damage to the eye mesh, sweat stains and small holes to the bridge of the nose, otherwise fine.

An instantly recognisable and highly displayable artefact from this popular franchise.
