Phantom (The)

An original cowl used in the production of The Phantom, the 1996 superhero picture starring Billy Zane in the title role.

This is an original cowl worn by Billy Zane as The Phantom as part of his signature costume seen throughout the movie. Constructed from a purple patterned neoprene stretch rubber the cowl features a suede lining to the interior to ensure it was comfortable for Zane to wear for long periods of time during filming. The cowl has been mounted on a head form for display purposes and also to ensure it retains the correct shape.

The head display measures approximately 12.5" x 7" with the cowl featuring some minor running repairs which have been carried out by the production, it exhibits some minor signs of wear consistent with prolonged use during filming but remains in generally excellent screen worn condition.
