Nightmare Before Christmas (The)

An original puppet arm used in the production of The Nightmare Before Christmas, the 1993 stop motion animation favourite directed by Henry Selick and produced by Tim Burton.

This is an original puppet arm for the character of Corpse Mom, the obese corpse who makes several appearances throughout the film. The arm is constructed from soft foam with a blue paint finish and the hand, of similar construction features a wire armature to the interior which would have allowed the fingers to be posed during filming. The puppet arm measures approximately 2" long with the detached hand a further 1", the arm piece remains in largely supple condition with some paint loss and hardening to the extremities while the hand remains in delicate but stable condition.

A rare and affordable artefact from this highly regarded stop motion animation classic.
