NeverEnding Story (The)

A collection of original reference images used during the production of The NeverEnding Story, the 1984 fantasy epic directed by Wolfgang Petersen.

These images are Vistavision frame blow ups used during the production for camera reference by the motion control unit when filming various background plates which were composited with the blue screen footage to produce the final shots. Two show Noah Hathaway as Atreyu against bluescreen, one a matte shot and the other a background plate created using a cloud tank.

The four images are printed on glossy photographic stock each measuring 10" x 8" with two of the images being hand inscribed in blue pen with a reference code. They remain in near perfect original condition, very fine.
