Greengage Summer (The)

An original artwork from the production of The Greengage Summer, the 1961 drama picture starring Kenneth More, Danielle Darrieux and Susannah York under the direction of Lewis Gilbert.

This is an original artwork created by an unknown artist as a poster concept and subsequently used on the cover of the VHS release. The artwork is accomplished in acrylic paint on artists board and features a stunning likeness of Kenneth More as Eliot and Susannah York as Joss Grey, to the rear of the board is a tape applied paper cover which can be folded over to protect the work, it measures an impressive 28" x 23" and remains in excellent vintage condition with some minor edge wear, overall very fine.
