Steven Spielberg is a rare talent, arguably the most accomplished filmmaker of his generation he is responsible for blockbusters in almost every genre of the art form and ranks as the most financially successful director in the history of cinema.

Following his first major box office success with Jaws (1975) Spielberg has gone on to direct some of the most enduring and iconic pictures of our time, a list that includes classics such as Close Encounters of the Third Kind (1977), E.T. the Extra-Terrestrial (1982), the Indiana Jones franchise of the 1980's, Jurassic Park (1993) Schindler's List (1993) and Saving Private Ryan (1998). Twice a recipient of the Academy Award for Best Director and honoured with the American Film Institute Life Achievement Award his films have become the highest grossing of all time on as many as three occasions, he is widely regarded by both critics and contemporaries alike as one of the greatest filmmakers of all time having produced a diverse body of work which will continue to influence Hollywood for decades to come.

The material offered for this week will come exclusively from pictures directed by Steven Spielberg and will feature some rare and significant artefacts from a number of classic and sought after titles.
