Doctor Who

An original prop used in the production of the long running science fiction television series Doctor Who.

From the 1984 serial Warriors of the Deep starring Peter Davison as The Doctor this is an original communicator as worn by the Silurians. Custom made for the production by the BBC the communicator is constructed from furniture foam which has been shaped around two pieces of aluminium and textured with painted latex to achieve an alien look. The communicator features five panels of clear perspex which has been backed with green card and is lined with material to the inside.

The communicator measures approximately 4" x 4" x 3.5" and remains in good production used condition with some hardening to the extremities and parts of the foam which are exposed due to missing latex, the main body of the prop remains soft to the touch.
