Sense and Sensibility (TV) 1971

Original contact sheets from the production of the 1971 BBC adaptation of Jane Austen's Sense and Sensibility.

These contact sheets formed part of the BBC image archive of the show and depict various characters from the production in costume. The lot comprises of one sheet containing 35 thumbnails and a second trimmed sheet containing a further 16 thumbnails, such images would have been used by the BBC for publicity purposes. Both sheets are hand inscribed to the verso 'SENSE & SENSIBILITY' in pen and are dated 27.7.70 and 12.8.70 respectively.

The sheets, printed on glossy paper are with the complete sheet measuring approximately 10" x 8", they remain in excellent condition with only minor edge wear, very fine.
