Moon

An original rover pilot miniature used during the production of Moon, the acclaimed 2009 science fiction drama directed by Duncan Jones and starring Sam Rockwell.

Miniature Sam Bell figures such as this were used as pilots in the 1:12 scale rover filming miniatures, the figure is essentially a cut down David Tennant Doctor Who action figure which has been sprayed white to resemble Sam in his spacesuit. These action figures were also used for scale reference throughout the construction of the model miniatures at Shepperton Studios, the final two images illustrate an identical figure used for scale during the construction of the harvester miniature.

The figure sits approximately 1.5" high and remains in excellent production used condition with only very minor paint loss to the poseable joints.

Presented here directly from the collection of Moon model unit supervisor Bill Pearson, The Prop Gallery COA supplied with the item will also be signed by Bill and accompanied by a high quality 7" x 5" photographic print of him with the item.

An excellent display piece from this already cult science fiction masterpiece.
