Nightmare Before Christmas (The)

An original rocking horse miniature used in the 1993 stop motion fantasy favourite The Nightmare Before Christmas produced by Tim Burton.

This rocking horse miniature featured in the making Christmas scenes where four of these horses can be seen on the conveyor belt. The miniature is constructed from wood with metal rope effect reins and is sculpted in several pieces which have been joined together and hand painted in the bright and vibrant signature style of the movie. The prop features the remains of a metal rig to the off screen side which would have been used to rock the miniature on screen and some sticky residue to the underside.

The miniature measures approximately 8" long and stands 6" high to the top of the head and remains in good production used condition with one of the ears having been replaced after filming.

A vibrant and extremely displayable piece from this highly regarded stop motion classic.
