Back to the Future Part II

An original prop from the production of Back to the Future Part II, the second instalment in the classic trilogy starring Michael J. Fox and Christopher Lloyd.

The central plot device of the movie is the Grays Sports Almanac purchased by Marty McFly (Michael J. Fox) in 2015 which is given to Biff Tannen (Thomas F. Wilson) by his older self who steals the DeLorean to travel back in time drastically altering the history of Hill Valley and making Biff wealthy and successful. Another memorable element of the movie is the Oh LaLa magazine belonging to Biff in 1955 which is concealed by the dust jacket from the almanac at the Enchantment Under the Sea dance. When Marty finally catches up with what he thinks is the almanac after it is confiscated by Mr Strickland (James Tolkan) it is really Biff's Oh LaLa magazine with only the dust jacket of the sports almanac.

This set comprises of an original 16 page Oh LaLa magazine and an original dust jacket for the Grays Sports Almanac which is referenced when Marty purchases the book in 2015, these both custom printed by the production. The Oh LaLa is a fictional publication designed by the production for use as Biff's dirty magazine and contains images of lingerie models which were originally published in the real life 1935 French publication Paris Sex Appeal with the cover featuring an image of Venetia Stevenson from a 1955 edition of the pornographic magazine Swank. The almanac dust jacket features the instantly recognisable design with the Grays Sports Almanac logo and images of various sports, this is not to be confused with the much more commonly seen almanac covers which to not feature the folded flaps which hold it to the front and rear of the book.

The magazine and dust jacket each measure approximately 9" x 6" in the closed position and both remain in excellent condition with some minor edge wear and toning, most notably to the dust jacket, overall very fine.

An instantly recognisable ensemble from this classic science fiction trilogy.
