Nuns on the Run

An original clapperboard used in the production of the 1990 comedy Nuns on the Run starring Eric Idle and Robbie Coltrane.

This traditional wooden board bears the production name and that of director Jonathan Lynn and cameraman Mike Garfath with fabric tape to the bottom bearing the date from its last use - 9th June 1989, underneath this is further tape bearing dates from previous days filming. The board exhibits old chalk marks to the rear and an addition tape inscribed 'NIGHT' also used to overlay on production.

The clapperboard measures approximately 15" x 14" and remains in excellent condition while retaining some evidence of chalk markings and exhibiting minor edge wear from production use.

An excellent example of the iconic clapperboard which has become an image synonymous with the film industry.
