Nightmare Before Christmas (The)

An original miniature used in the production of The Nightmare Before Christmas, the 1993 stop motion animation favourite directed by Henry Selick and produced by Tim Burton.

This is one of the miniature insects used in the memorable scene where Oogie Boogie is revealed toward the end of the movie. Numerous styles of bugs were created by the production to form Oogie with this one being an insect like creature, hand made from a hard resin like material the insect features a distinctive red and green paint finish with four wire legs and bulging eyes, numerous similar bugs can clearly be seen in the Oogie reveal sequence.

The miniature insect measures approximately 1.75" long and remains in excellent production used condition with some minor paint wear to the underside.
