Mike Trim concept artwork - Seek and Destroy

In Stock

An original concept artwork used in the production of Captain Scarlet and the Mysterons, the 1967 Supermarionation television series created by Gerry and Sylvia Anderson.

This concept artwork was hand drawn by artist Mike Trim who was assistant to noted special effects director Derek Meddings on numerous Anderson series and became a prolific designer responsible for creating many of the futuristic craft and buildings.

This beautifully detailed artwork is accomplished in pencil on paper which has been mounted to artists board and depicts the truck used to transport the crated Angel craft in the episode Seek and Destroy. To the top left are various hand inscribed notes to assist the talented Century 21 model makers during the creation of the miniature used on screen, furthermore the artwork is signed by the artist 'M. J. Trim' to the right and again to the verso where an applied piece of paper inscribed by Trim states this is an original Century 21 artwork from Captain Scarlet.

The artwork measures approximately 14.5" x 11" and remains in excellent condition with some minor tape browning and staining, overall fine.

A rare and highly displayable example of original concept artwork from this classic Supermarionation series.
