Sold

Description

An original storyboard used in the production of Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade, the third instalment in the popular Indy franchise starring Harrison Ford and Sean Connery.

This is an original production used schematic for the circus train used in the memorable opening sequence where the young Indy (River Phoenix) clambers along train as he attempts to escape with the Cross of Coronado while pursued by Fedora and his gang. The schematic is made up of various sheets of paper taped together and details the various carriages of the circus train to be pulled behind the locomotive with various notes relating to the animals contained within and the action to take place in the sequence which required meticulous planning. This schematic was utilised during the production by second unit director Michael Moore and one of the sheets carries an annotation inscribed in his hand with some doodling in pen to the verso.

The schematic measures an impressive 96" x 8.5" and remains in good folded condition with some wear and creasing consistent with heavy production use.

A fine and rare example of original production material from one of the most enduring franchises in cinematic history.
