Doctor Who

An original costume used in the production of the long running BBC television series Doctor Who.

From the 1975 serial The Android Invasion starring Tom Baker as The Doctor this is one of three original Kraal costumes created by the BBC Wardrobe Department and worn on screen by veteran actor and stuntman Stuart Fell who made over twenty appearances in the series. The complex one piece costume is designed to act as an armour and is constructed from woven material netting edged with thicker material which has been finished with a mixture of latex and paint to appear metallic.

The costume remains in good vintage screen used condition with some age related wear and loss to the finish, this represents an incredibly rare example of original creature wardrobe from this cult science fiction series.
