Star Wars Episode IV: A New Hope

ILM production used storyboard - Millennium Falcon

Sold

Description

An original storyboard used in the production of the 1977 science fiction picture Star Wars, the first instalment in the classic franchise directed by George Lucas.

From the exciting sequence where the Millennium Falcon comes under fire from Tie Fighters after escaping the Death Star and Luke and Han take to the Falcon main guns to fend them off this storyboard is a production issued copy of the original drawing by effects illustrator and designer Joe Johnston. The storyboard depicts the Millennium Falcon flying away from the camera and was utilised at Industrial Light and Magic during the production of the visual effects shots.

The board measures 8.5" x 11" and remains in excellent condition with three punch holes for binder use, very fine.

A fine example of an original storyboard with excellent subject matter from one of the most influential and highly regarded franchises in cinematic history.
