Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles

Foot Soldier arm guards

Sold

Description

A pair of original arm guards used in the production of Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, the 1990 superhero comedy directed by Steve Barron.

These arm guards were custom made by the production and are seen worn by the Foot Soldiers throughout the movie. Constructed from rubber with a detailed pattern to include the symbol also seen on the hachimaki they feature a black paint finish with silver highlights and include elasticated arm and finger straps to the back used to secure them to the actor. Both of the guards are hand inscribed to the interior with 'STUNTS' and the name 'JIMMIE LEE' for stunt performer Jimmie Lee Sessoms who worked on both this picture and the sequel The Secret of the Ooze where it is very likely these were reused.

The arm guards measure approximately 14.5" long and 6" at the widest point, they remain in excellent production used condition exhibiting some wear to the paint finish, generally fine.

A rare and displayable artefact from this well received blockbuster and ever popular franchise.
