Doctor Who

An original costume emblem used in the production of the long running science fiction television series Doctor Who.

From the 1981 serial Warriors Gate starring Tom Baker as The Doctor this three dimensional lion emblem was used on one of the original Tharil tunics created by Roger Oldhamstead from a concept by costume designer June Hudson. Constructed from cast resin with gold sprayed finish these lion emblems were worn on the cuffs of the Tharil's costumes, it retains a piece of backing material to the rear and evidence of being attached to a costume.

The emblem measures 1.5" in diameter and approximately 3/4" deep, it remains in excellent production used condition with some minor paint loss.
