An original production binder used in the production of Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade, the third instalment in the popular Indy franchise starring Harrison Ford.

This binder was utilised during the production by Carlos Gil who acted as first assistant director on location filming which look place in Almeria, Spain in 1988. The black binder which features a hand inscribed sticker to the spine contains a wealth of original material relating to the production of the movie including Gil's script and other paperwork separated by plastic file dividers with a period photograph of Gil to the interior cover. Comprising of the following.

  • Fourth draft script comprising 127 pages with final revisions dated 9 May 1988, production stamped 'IJ-4-073' throughout in red ink with Gil's name hand inscribed to the front cover.
  • Tentative shooting schedules dated 5.2.88, totalling 9 pages, featuring some hand insribed annotations in pencil.
  • Spanish location tentative one-line schedule, comprising 5 pages with some hand inscribed annotations in pencil.
  • Second unit shooting schedule, comprising 12 pages.
  • Lists and diagrams of doubles and soldiers, comprising 3 pages.
  • Indiana Jones III shooting schedule issued May 1988, comprising 14 pink pages, hand inscribed with Gil's name and '1ST UNIT' to the cover.
  • Accommodation list, comprising 2 pages, dated April 29, 1988, hand inscribed with Gil's name.
  • Spanish unit list, comprising 2 pages, dated 22.4.88.
  • Personnel transport list, comprising 4 faxed pages, hand inscribed with Gil's name.
  • Personnel transport list, comprising 15 pages.
  • Second unit transport list, comprising 2 pages heavily annotated in Gil's hand.
  • Further transport list comprising 11 pages.
  • Production memo on Lucasfilm headed paper relating to filming of the tank sequence
  • Locations list, comprising 1 page, hand inscribed with Gil's name.
  • Seven differing location maps.
  • Stunts Incorporated paperwork, comprising 13 pages detailing various stunt personnel, hand inscribed with Gil's name.
  • Production memo relating to filming specific slates of the tank chase sequence.

The binder remains in excellent condition with minor wear from production use and age, contents generally excellent with light edge wear and toning, front page of script detached but otherwise fine.

A fine example of original production material from one of the most enduring franchises in cinematic history.
