Production used clapperboard

Sold

Description

An original clapperboard used in the production of the 2001 American war drama series Band of Brothers which saw Steven Spielberg and Tom Hanks collaborate as executive producers.

This production used clapperboard is constructed from perspex with an affixed wooden clap stick and bears the series title etched to the top 'BAND OF BROTHERS' in black lettering. This board was used on 'Crossroads' the fifth episode of the series and the only one to be directed by noted Hollywood actor, filmmaker and series executive producer Tom Hanks and thus bears his name as director in addition to that of 'REMI B.S.C' which refers to Remi Adefarasin in his capacity as director of photography. The board bears various markings where different information could be placed during the the production and is inscribed 'A' in red marker pen indicating that this board was used on the A camera during filming.

The clapperboard measures approximately 11" x 9.5" and remains in excellent production condition with only very minor surface scratching and light wear to the wooden clap stick.

A displayable artefact and a fine example of the iconic clapperboard from the production of this well received series.
